Dr. Graham Bean is a registered Psychologist in the Province of British Columbia. His areas of practice are Clinical Psychology and Clinical Neuropsychology. Originally trained as a clinical research scientist, Dr. Bean completed graduate training in psychopharmacology and a doctorate in Medical Science (Dr. Med. Sci.) at the University of Toronto. He conducted research in mental illness at the Clarke Institute of Psychiatry where he was an Assistant Professor of the School of Medicine and an Adjunct Professor at York University. Dr. Bean conducted research in first episode illness, severe and persistent mental illness, capacity assessments and premorbid risk factors for illness and disability. He has presented at local, provincial and international conferences and was an invited keynote speaker at NIMH in Japan. His second doctoral degree was earned in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Neuropsychology. Dr. Bean has worked in hospital settings and currently works in private practise providing psychological and neuropsychological consultation and assessments services for rehabilitation centres and for personal injury claims, primarily for motor vehicle accidents, slip and fall accidents and work related injuries.
He has been qualified as an Expert Witness by the courts of British Columbia. He is a member of the Association for Scientific Advancement in Psychological Injury and Law (ASAPIL), the Medical Legal Society of BC and a retired member of the Royal Society of Medicine.
